Nix Hydra Games Inc. is a female founded, female lead development company that creates mobile games that are magical, colorful, and friendly.
Target Audience
Girls ages 13 - 16, "magical" millennials who love cute, friendly, colorful things.
Objective
Support the launch of Egg! The Game on social media by generating excitement leading up to the launch and maintaining community engagement during and after launch.
Success
Egg! achieved a whopping 2 million+ downloads within the first two weeks after launch. It was featured prominently in the Apple, Google Play, and Amazon app stores and climbed to #1 trending game search in the Apple app store. Apple and Google Play continued to feature Egg! every so often for months after its launch.
Pre-launch posts
Before the game hit the app stores, we wanted to generate hype and put the game on people's radar by giving Nix Hydra fans a special sneak peak on Instagram, and by targeting new players who have never heard of Nix Hydra Games via Facebook Ads.

As the launch date drew nearer, I began a weekly series to boost engagement on Instagram by giving our fans an option to choose which new assets they would like to see revealed early.

At launch, I created celebratory content that announced the game's arrival, including a video, and provided our social media influencers with all art assets that they would need for their own Egg! content.
Influencers
One of the game's most beloved features is the ability to dress up your Egg! So, to give our fans some inspiration, I created artwork once a week showcasing some creative costume combinations that coincided with things going on in popular culture and hashtagged accordingly.
